Looking for Restaurant/Bar Staff – Park Hyatt Dubai
Restaurant Server Jobs Dubai
Job ID: DUB006341 | Full-time
Hey there,
So here’s the deal for Restaurant Server Jobs Dubai- we’re hiring for our restaurants and bars, and we need people who get what hospitality is really about. Not the fake smile stuff, but genuinely caring about whether someone has a good time.
What you’d be doing for Restaurant Server Jobs Dubai
Honestly? A bit of everything. One day you’re explaining why our chef insists on dry-aging the beef for 28 days, next day you’re behind the bar shaking martinis. Sometimes you’ll be poolside serving fish and chips to families on vacation.
The job’s pretty straightforward – seat people, take their order, bring their food, make sure they’re happy. But here’s where it gets interesting: our guests aren’t grabbing a quick bite at McDonald’s. They’ve chosen to spend serious money for an experience, and that’s where you come in.
You’ll need to actually know your stuff. What’s in the risotto? How spicy is that curry? Can you make recommendations without just pointing to the most expensive thing on the menu? That matters here.
When things go sideways (and they will – wrong order, delayed kitchen, guest having a meltdown), you handle it. Sometimes that means comping a dessert, sometimes calling over your supervisor. Either way, you don’t just shrug and walk away.
What we’re after
You’ve done this before. Maybe not at a five-star place, but somewhere decent where they taught you that presentation matters and rushing guests is bad business. Could be a busy gastropub, nice hotel restaurant, whatever – just somewhere you learned proper service.
You can talk to anyone. Doesn’t matter if it’s a CEO closing a million-dollar deal or grandparents celebrating their 50th anniversary. You read the room and adjust accordingly. English is a must, anything else is a bonus.
You don’t fold under pressure. Saturday night, fully booked, kitchen’s running behind, and table 12 is getting antsy about their appetizers. You’ve been there, you know how to juggle it all without losing your cool.
You actually care about food and drinks. Look, you don’t need to be a sommelier, but if someone asks about wine pairings, you should have some idea. Same with cocktails, dietary restrictions, all that stuff. If you hate talking about food, this isn’t your job.
You can lead when needed. Maybe you’ve trained newbies before, or you’re just one of those people others naturally look to when chaos hits. We rotate people around different areas, so leadership skills help.
You show up. Sounds basic, but you’d be amazed. On time, properly dressed, ready to work. No calling in sick because you went too hard the night before.
You’re flexible with hours. This is hospitality – we’re busy when everyone else is having fun. Nights, weekends, holidays. If you need a strict 9-to-5, look elsewhere.
The reality check
Some guests will be lovely. Others… not so much. You’ll deal with people who think money gives them the right to be rude. You’ll have shifts where everything goes wrong. Your feet will hurt, and yes, you’ll be cleaning up after people all day.
But when you nail it – when a couple thanks you for making their anniversary dinner perfect, or when you turn around a terrible situation and make someone smile – that’s when you remember why you got into this business.
We pay well for Dubai, the team’s solid, and you’ll learn things that’ll help you anywhere in hospitality. Plus, working at Park Hyatt actually means something on your CV.
Think you’re up for it? Send your CV and tell us about the worst shift you ever had and how you got through it. We want the real story, not some polished nonsense.
P.S. – If you’ve never worked in hospitality before but think you’d be good at it, don’t waste our time. This isn’t an entry-level learning opportunity.
