My name’s Ahmed, I run product here. We lost our assistant PM last month (she got married and moved to Canada) and frankly, we’re a mess without her.

What we do for Assistant Product Manager

We build financial products. Cards, loans, investment stuff. Nothing revolutionary, just trying to make banking less terrible for people in the UAE.

What went wrong

Amira (our old assistant PM) basically held this place together. She knew which forms Legal needed, when Compliance meetings were, who to call when systems broke. Now she’s gone and we’re all just staring at each other in meetings.

What you’d actually do for Assistant Product Manager

Help us not screw up product launches. Write down what we decide in meetings because apparently, nobody else does that. Keep track of deadlines that matter vs ones that don’t.

You’d work with me and Fatima (senior PM). We’re both ex-ADIB, been doing this for years. Good team, just overwhelmed right now.

Here’s the deal for Assistant Product Manager

This isn’t a sexy startup job. We move slow because Central Bank regulations. Everything needs approval from 6 different departments. You’ll spend time in Excel making charts nobody reads.

But you’ll learn how real financial products work. Not some fintech app that burns through VC money – actual profitable products that banks use.

What you need for Assistant Product Manager

• Worked in banking/finance for 2-3 years minimum
• Know Excel beyond just making tables
• Can talk to lawyers and compliance people without your eyes glazing over
• Have patience for bureaucracy (seriously, this matters)

Don’t care about your university honestly. Care more that you understand why we can’t just “ship fast and break things” when people’s money is involved.

The boring stuff

Salary depends on experience but maxes at 20K. Standard Dubai package – health insurance, 30 days leave, visa sponsorship if needed. Not sure about Dubai living costs? Our expense calculator can help you plan your budget.

Hours are normal (8-5ish). Rarely work weekends unless something’s broken.

Office is in DIFC. Parking is expensive but there’s metro.
