Hey, Technical Sales Engineer Dubai Look, we need someone who gets vibration monitoring AND can actually talk to people about it without putting them to sleep.
Technical Sales Engineer Dubai
You’ll be working with heavy industry clients – oil rigs, power stations, steel plants – places where machines cost more than most people’s houses and downtime is measured in lost millions.
Half your time you’re in sales mode, sitting across from plant managers explaining why our monitoring tech will save their bacon.
The other half you’re sleeves-rolled-up, actually installing systems and showing their engineers how to use the damn things properly.
Day-to-Day Reality
One day you might be at a refinery in Abu Dhabi walking through bearing analysis data with their maintenance team
— a great example of hands-on jobs that pay well in the UAE. Next week you could be at a cement plant in Sharjah,
literally bolting sensors onto machinery and explaining why that particular vibration pattern means trouble.
You’ll do client presentations (nothing too fancy – these are engineers, not marketing folks), run product demos, and write up technical proposals. Plus trade shows, networking events, and the occasional emergency call when someone’s new system isn’t behaving.
What You Need
Background:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Instrumentation, something relevant)
- 3-6 years doing technical sales or field work in vibration analysis/predictive maintenance — this level of experience is often sought for urgent hiring jobs in Dubai.
- Actually worked with systems like Bently Nevada, SKF, SPM – not just read about them
Technical Stuff:
- Can set up vibration monitoring equipment without calling for help
- Know the difference between bearing wear and shaft misalignment on a spectrum
- Comfortable training client teams on new systems
- Basic troubleshooting skills for when things go sideways
Practical Requirements: for Technical Sales Engineer Dubai
- Based in Dubai or willing to relocate (non-negotiable) — if you’re considering a move, understanding the cost of living in Dubai is essential.
- UAE driving license (you’ll be driving to sites, not taking taxis)
- Don’t mind traveling around the region for work — similar flexibility is often required for jobs in Dubai with free visa and accommodation.
People Skills:
- Can explain technical concepts to non-technical people — a skill highly valued by recruitment agencies in Dubai.
- Comfortable presenting to senior managers and procurement teams
- Good at building relationships (this is relationship-heavy work)
- Professional enough for corporate environments but practical enough for plant floors
Why This Role Works
If you like variety, this job has it. Monday might be a boardroom presentation, Tuesday you’re on a factory floor covered in industrial dust. You’ll prevent major equipment failures, work with cutting-edge monitoring technology, and build relationships with the region’s biggest industrial players — offering real opportunities and career growth in Dubai.
Not for everyone, but if you’re technically minded, like solving problems, and can handle both the sales and hands-on aspects, this could be your thing.
